Council Meetings, Ladies' bunco

The Council business meetings are conducted every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m in the Columbus Room at our Immaculate Conception Hall. Please arrive early to enjoy a catered meal at 6:45 p.m.

About Our Council

The Council was founded [chartered] on November 22, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas. Our council adheres to the four basic precepts of the Knights of Columbus. These are: unity, fraternity, charity, and patriotism. Each of these are respectively represented by the First, Second, Third, and Fourth Degrees of the fraternal order.

The Council provides some catering to benefit several charities in our community as well as many other events that our Council sponsors throughout the year. Among them are: the Starving Artist Show; Nun's Appreciation Dinner; Worker Appreciation / Open House; and a Memorial Mass, for our deceased members.

In addition, the membership represents the council well by serving as Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Commentators, CCD Teachers, and in many more areas associated with the Catholic Church.

The Council is looking forward to another great year and hopes to have you as part of its membership. The Council works hard for its members and for the Catholic Church and community.

As the largest council in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Council 4140 is uniquely blessed with having its members serve in many levels of the Knights. From delegates to state convention, officers at the state, chapter, assembly, and Fourth Degree or serving as membership chairs or committemen. We are blessed in that regard and thank our Lord for his blessings on this membership.
